My World’s on Fire

Ever had a song that changed the way you view the world? Something that cut right to your heart? When I first viewed this video senior year of high school, I knew that something in me had changed. I like to think of this video as the first seed that led me to apply for the Peace Corps. Watch it and let me know what you think!

  1. Hi! I hope this isn’t too weird but I saw your comment on this blog post: http://hooyman.wordpress.com/about-packing/ and was very excited and surprised to see that you already have an invite for Rwanda in September! I’m nominated for Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa leaving in September so I’ve been trying to research Rwanda as that seems a strong possibility. If you don’t mind, I’d love to ask you some questions about your job assignment, application process, and how you found out so soon! Thanks, Gretchen.

  2. Hello, dear Tay-Tay – I will be following your journey because I do believe your world is on fire… you will leave a blazing track of where you have been and where you are going. I plan on sending you goodies so once you have settled and figured out some things you miss you will have to make a list.
I could tell you a lot of little things here and there and go in to great detail about how excited I am for you. I could tell you I am proud of you, as we all are. And I could relay to you how lucky you are to be in this world making a difference. But what I truly want to say to you is that I believe in you. When it gets too overwhelming, when you get a little homesick, when you wonder if you can hack it or just feel a little weak in the knees, remind yourself that someone back in the States truly, honestly believes in you. All my love…. Kacey xoxox<3
